Ulzana's Raid [DE] - "No disc"

Post by Hofmeister »

When handling the German release of ULZANA'S RAID (label: explosive media), MakeMKV does not return an error, but merely says "Type : No disc"

The log reads thus:

Code: Select all

Am using MakeMKV v.1.14.1 darwin(x64-release) under macOS Mojave 10.14.1 – if this is an OS-related error, I'll gladly take the topic to the Mac forum, but I was under the impression that this is disc-related. Other BDs are recognised fine.

Any ideas what might be behind this? Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

If you access the disk in Finder, do you see files?

"No disk" usually means the operating system was unable to load the disk to let MakeMKV know it was there. And sometimes, restarting the computer fixes issues like that.

Is it just this one BD that it refuses to load?

The disk can be accessed in Finder and shows up the usual structure (AACS, BDMV, CERTIFICATE ƒ). The only unusual thing is that the BD reader makes a lot of noise before mounting.
And yes, this disk is a solitary case so far, I tried other BDs after every failed attempt at ULZANA'S RAID.
