v1.14.1 Hammering My C Drive/Slow Performance with On-the-Fly Audio Conversion
After I updated from 1.12.3 to 1.14.1 on my Windows 10 1803 rig, I began to notice EXTREMELY slow Bluray and ISO rips when doing On-the-Fly audio conversions from DTS-HD to AAC. When I would start the rip, everything would be working great until about 10 seconds in and the read rate would plummet down to x1.0 or less. Upon having task manger open and looking at the performance tab, I noticed my C drive disk usage pegged at 100% with 2000ms+ average response times when trying to accomplish a rip with my AAC audio conversion profile applied. Opening Resource Monitor and looking at what was hammering the drive, I found that MakeMKV was creating a temp file in AppData which was consuming all of the SSDs resources. I don't know what the purpose of the temp file is to the rip but either way, with it causing a performance issue, I have reverted back to 1.12.3 which alleviates the problem. As a side note, I had no issues with v1.14.1 when NOT doing any sort of audio conversion. Hope these details help, if you need any additional information, please let me know.

I have had the same issue when converting to FLAC on Ubuntu 8.04
it worked fine in 1.12.3 it also works fine when ripping the audio without conversion.

Glad to see I am not alone in noticing this issue. Sadly, I don't have an answer to why it is doing this. Hopefully it will be investigated and a fix found for a future release.

I have just tested it with 1.14.2 and i got the same result. Rip is very slow when converting audio to FLAC

I can see that i wrote, that I was running makemkv on ubuntu 8.04 that is incorrect. I am of course running it on ubuntu 18.04
