Funny thing is recently I have seen the FPL_MainFeature option for most movies that have the annoying obfuscation in place. However for this title (Netflix Blu-Ray) I saw about 900+ titles all about the same and MakeMKV did not properly identify any of them as being the main feature. I just figured that feature did not work on this title for whatever reason but I ejected the Blu-Ray and re-tried a few times but each time same thing 900+ titles that looked the same. I then searched for this thread to see what others had discovered on which title was the correct one. I also decided to do the following.mike_mgoblue wrote: ↑Tue Aug 28, 2018 3:20 amAlso, I do have Java installed on my computer; however, I never see things such as "FPL_MainFeature" listed when using MakeMKV. Is there a Preference or some other setting that needs to be used in order to make something such as "FPL_MainFeature" appear?mike_mgoblue wrote: ↑Tue Aug 28, 2018 1:28 amWhen I tried using MakeMKV, it said Java had failed.
Due to the fact that I could not find the "Netflix" or "Redbox" file titled 00989.mpls, I tried using the "retail" version a person suggested - which is 00741.mpls. However, that person said "File name" would be "Overboard_t296.mkv." ... My "File name" for 00741.mpls had a "segment map" that did list all 20 segments in the same order as those listed for 00741.mpls with a "File name" of "Overboard_t296.mkv." However, the "File name" for my 00741.mpls was not "Overboard_t296.mkv." My File name for my 00741.mpls was "Overboard_t298.mkv"
Mine looked like this... However, I have NOT confirmed this is the correct one to select. I was hoping someone would know for sure:
Title information
Name: Overboard
Source file name: 00741.mpls
Duration: 1:52:18
Chapters count: 16
Size: 33.4 GB
Segment count: 20
Segment map: 518,502,516,515,509,520,514,503,508,511,513,505,519,506,510,512,504,501,507,517
File name: Overboard_t298.mkv
- Cleared logs
- Enabled Expert Mode
- Deleted old movie related files from C:\Users\<UserName>\.MakeMKV folder
I then re-tried the disk again to see if the mpls matched a few of the working ones listed in this thread. However this time MakeMKV detected the proper title and listed it as "FPL_MainFeature"! I have no clue why clearing my logs, enabling Expert Mode, or deleting old movie files info from folder listed above would have changed anything but I'm not complaining since it's working now! Maybe it was just 10th times a charm! LOL but if I had to guess maybe that "FPL_MainFeature" identification only works with Expert Mode? Just a guess but I could be way off, I'd have to do some more testing to confirm (but again could be way off base).
