program not responding

I just starting using this program as well as just started ripping blu rays to an external HD. It reads the bluray drive fine and reads the disc i am trying to rip. It then shows me all the chapters on the disc. I changed the directory to put the files to my new hitachi lifestudio drive 1 TB. It starts but then just hangs and does nothing. Have a brand new dell 8100 with 6GB ram and i7 core so that should not be the problem. Anything I can try.
