Mac OSX Mojave, trying to rip Johnny Enlgish reborn and getting read error. Disc is clean and plays fine in blu ray player.

Do I need the hashed key for it?
Anyone else run into this with this disc?
Several other movies have ripped fine since mojave update.

There are dozens of different "read errors". Need to know which you're receiving (preferably from a Debug log, which has more detail) to make guesses.

First suspicion would be the power to the drive. I have one of these, and they work well for ripping, so long as they get "full" USB power. If they don't (plugged into a hub that doesn't have its own power supply, or a laptop on battery), they can go off-line at top speed.

HOWEVER.... Given that on two runs it hit an error at the SAME offset (66699264) in the SAME file (50299.m2ts), more likely is a bad spot on the disk itself.

If you use Open/Save as MKV instead of backup, do you also get an error at that location?

The drive is plugged into a powered USB hub so power is not the issue. It ended up being a bad disc. THANK YOU for your help
