Problems with ASUS BW-1281ST Drive

I have an ASUS BW-1281ST Blu-Ray drive and with the latest release of Make MKV version 1.12.0. Prior to running Make MKV my drive behaves normally. Upon running the program my drive exhibits strange behaviour. When I depress the eject button, the drive will open and about 3-5 seconds will close on its own. This is a consistent issue. Closing Make MKV does not solve the problem.f I can manage to get a disc in the drive before it closes I will get SCSI read errors. Sometimes the program will continually scan the disc. Sometimes it will get to the screen to select the files I wish to rip but whilst selecting the files it will revert to scanning the disc again. I finally reverted to version 1.10.9 of MakeMKV and things appear to be working normally.

1.12.0 is not the current version of MakeMKV, but that is probably not a factor.

What other applications do you have installed that access the drive?
