Unknown Save File Issues

#1 Post by ColorWerx » Mon Jul 30, 2018 2:06 am

I've just started having issues with saving files; just upgraded to v1.12.3 (macOS) and am not sure how to interpret the log. Here's an example of what I am seeing:

I am getting these kinds of errors on multiple BDs lately; could it be the new version of MakeMKV, or a drive issue?

Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

Installed v1.12.2 - lo and behold, errors are gone.

I just want to say that I had the same problem with ripping The Mask yesterday - downgraded MakeMKV and the A/V sync issues went away.

Having the same issue with my American Gangster blu-ray today. I've tried two different copies of the disc, and two separate blu-ray drives (one ASUS and one LG). Here is the error code I get every time:

Code: Select all

Saving 1 titles into directory /Volumes/Rips
DEBUG: Code 45045000 at kwVdSc?TV5No,Q{ LrE:121265821
DEBUG: Code 0 at FT9IW5Y^n)ON0.5Ym]6ZP:121267661
DEBUG: Code 0 at FT9IW5Y^n)ON0.5Ym]6ZP:121267661
DEBUG: Code 0 at FT9IW5Y^n)ON0.5Ym]6ZP:121267661
LIBMKV_TRACE: Exception: Error while reading input
Failed to save title 5 to file /Volumes/Rips/American_Gangster_t05.mkv
0 titles saved, 1 failed
Strangely, the special features copy just fine. It's the main features (both versions of the movie) that fail.

Any thoughts on how to fix this?? I'm on macOS, MakeMKV 1.12.3.

Like the others did (and I did yesterday), re-install version 1.12.2...

https://makemkv.com/download/old/ if you didn't keep the original 1.12.2 install.
