1.12.3 error with 3D blu-rays
1.12.3 error with 3D blu-rays
Windows Makemkv version 1.12.3 has been unable to rip 3D blu-rays and reports corrupt source file and hash check errors.
1.12.2 rips the same discs without problem.
Both can rip standard blu-rays without problem.
Problem discs so far:
Thor Ragnarok 3D
Ghost in the Shell 3D
Journey 2D: The Mysterious Island 3D
Drive is Asus BW-16D1HT

Re: 1.12.3 error with 3D blu-rays
Interesting... I too have been seeing numerous notifications of hash check errors on 3d discs after updating to 1.12.3 ... with Rampage and Ready Player One.. .but both have ripped and played just fine in spite of those notifications. The same 2d versions of those titles had no hash check errors.
Re: 1.12.3 error with 3D blu-rays
No missing chapters?Deano86 wrote:... both have ripped and played just fine in spite of those notifications. The same 2d versions of those titles had no hash check errors.
Technically, mine did rip and play but chapters that had errors were missing.
1000+ errors on Thor Ragnarok. Opening credits and other parts were missing.
I tested with other 3D blu-rays that ripped fine before. They also showed errors.
Then I switched back to 1.12.2, and everything worked fine as before.
Re: 1.12.3 error with 3D blu-rays
Same here, updated to 1.12.3 and Thor 3 (3d BluRay) shows hash errors etc...
...ive gone back to 1.12.2 and all works fine.
(This is running Linux version on Mint 18.3).
cheers all!

Re: 1.12.3 error with 3D blu-rays
Nope, no missing chapters on Ready Player One... watched the movie and loved it... certainly didn't notice anything missing... runtime is correct. Haven't had a chance to fully test Rampage yet. It should be noted too that on both of these titles, I have muxed the Atmos soundtracks from the regular 2d blurays with these 3d titles... and no audio sync errors or anything. So, in spite of the hash check error indications for the 3d rips, they are fine... at least for certain Ready Player One.
Re: 1.12.3 error with 3D blu-rays
I too have encountered multiple hashcheck errors with the latest version of MakeMKV for MAC when ripping 3D blu-rays. Even 3D movies that ripped flawlessly in previous versions are showing hashcheck errors (Open Season, Star Wars - The Last Jedi).
Re: 1.12.3 error with 3D blu-rays
Anybody else experiencing actual playback errors along with the hash check error notifications?
Re: 1.12.3 error with 3D blu-rays
I am getting hash errors with Ready Player One on Asus BW-16D1HT, how can i download 1.12.2 whilst this issue is fixed, tried amending download link but it downloads 1.12.3

@Woodstock. Thanks
Re: 1.12.3 error with 3D blu-rays
I also got hash check errors with Ready Player One.... I am using a LG WH16NS40, but I was still able to successfully mux the Dolby Atmos soundtrack onto it and it played just fine.... weird... but, I too have downgraded to 1.12.2 for now.
Re: 1.12.3 error with 3D blu-rays
I have the same problem. 3D Movies I ripped before produced a lot of hash errors and ripping stopped. I went back to 1.12.2 and all worked fine. (Windows 10 - LG Drive)
Re: 1.12.3 error with 3D blu-rays
Me too, on MacOS. Upgraded to v1.12.3 and successfully backed up a few 2D disks. The first time I tried to backup a 3D disk (Despicable Me 3), it failed immediately. I rebooted and tried again with the same result. Then I re-installed v1.12.2 and the disk is backing up just fine - it's about a third of the way through as I write. Here's the short failure log:
