Application failed to initialize

When trying to open MakeMKV 1.12.2 a message pops up saying the application failed to initialize. I'm on Mac OS X 10.6.8.

I too am unable to load this on a mac running 10.6.8 Getting an application failed to initialize. The last version did work.
Any ideas?

Running win 7 new install on Ryzen 7 platform. Makemkv 1.12.0 and 1.12.2 both "Failed to Initialize" suddenly today. Been working fine on the system for the past week. Windows Defender disabled. Norton firewall running but when disabled makemkv still won't start. This is a CRITICAL app for me. Please HELP!

UPDATE!
Makemkv suddenly decide to start without error. Best idea is that for a period of time it couldn't 'phone home'.
