Can an 'official' UHD drive (BU40N) rip standard Bluray
The title says it all, I bought a UHD BU40N before studying up on UHD ripping and before I open it up and install it, at least I want to be sure I can rip standard blurays with it.

My PC is a Dell XPS8930 which requires a laptop bluray drive. Now if you have a BU30N we can discuss.

The only front panel opening is for a laptop slim drive.

I'm at my wits end trying io get a friendly Blu Ray drive with the right firmware here in Britain. So I wondered if by chance you still had any drives left. I know I'm in the UK and you are in the USA but I have bought quite a lot of gear from the States .If Jonghotti can help me out I will be grateful.

The answer to my original question is yes. I installed the BU40N and successfully ripped my Spaceballs Bluray.
