Peter Rabbit (2018)

Post by wieas1070 »

REDBOX Blu Ray has 2 different playlists. Any idea which is correct?

What are the names of the play list files, displayed in the info window when you highlight each one?

The first is 00354.mpls with a segment map of 354,355.
The second is 00355.mpls with a segment map of 354,356.

There were three movie files on my Redbox BR:
t22 = 00356.mpls - 1:23:32 - segment map 354
t34 = 00354.mpls - 1:34:42 - segment map 354, 355
t35 = 00355.mpls - 1:34:42 - segment map 354, 356

00356.mpls doesn't have credits.

I still don't see a difference between the credits on the other two...

OK, confirmed the correct playlist is 00354.mpls (t34), segment map 354, 355 for the Redbox US version.

(The difference between the credits on 00354.mpls vs 00355.mpls is that there are missing voice actor names during the animated sequences in the credits around 1:24:30. Missing Margot Robbie, James Corden, etc.)

I ripped the 00354.mpls file. What I got was the movie with the visual impaired descriptions voice-over included. I get the same with the 00355.mpls and 00356.mpls files. How do I avoid the visual impaired descriptions in the output?

Manually select your audio tracks. MakeMKV is probably being fooled into thinking the descriptive audio track has a higher "quality" than the main audio, and selecting it.

It seems more and more BDs are being mastered with the descriptive audio having more channels than the main track, so the standard MakeMKV selection rule doesn't work particularly well. I override mine and have it select ALL tracks, then sort them out later.
