Skipping main title.

Hi, I'm having trouble ripping 'The Death Of Stalin' from DVD on my Mac.
MakeMKV is skipping the main title (which I've identified as title 2) meaning it doesn't appear on the playlist.
The relevant part of the output says:

Calculated BUP offset for VTS #0 does not match one in IFO header.

Calculated BUP offset for VTS #1 does not match one in IFO header.

Title #1 was skipped

Can't locate a cell for VTS 1 TTN 2 PGCN 0 PGN 0

Title #2 was skipped

Any way to prevent that from happening?

Best place to start is with the FAQ listed in my signature, and sending the files requested to the author.

Just WHY the program says "
Can't locate a cell for VTS 1 TTN 2 PGCN 0 PGN 0" is probably the key. It could be as simple as cleaning the disk.

This appears to be a new copy protection Please try this - http://www.makemkv.com/manualdvd/

Try strings "2" or "2:@1-@17" (no quotes)

Thanks - sorry to be dim; how do I open Manual DVD mode? It's probably staring me in the face, but I can't see it.

JohnnnyX, make sure you have turned on Expert Mode in preferences. Restart the app, and you should see the checkbox for "Open DVD Manually" listed below your DVD drive details. More details at https://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopi ... &view=next

On a side note, these manual DVD strings didn't work for me. I'm trying to rip the same "Death of Stalin" DVD, and neither 2 nor 2:@1-@17 worked. Both would error with:

Code: Select all

Can't locate a cell for VTS 1 TTN 2 PGCN 0 PGN 0
Title #2 was skipped
Failed to open disc

I'm new to manual dvd strings - what else should I be trying?

Thanks, that's taken me one step further, but like you I'm getting no joy with those strings. Getting:Open DVD manually : "2"
