MakeMKV hangs on MacOS X

#1 Post by smikesh » Fri Mar 09, 2018 11:52 am

Hi everybody,

I have been using MakeMKV for a while for a couple of BD discs and now I'm getting the same behaviour all the time: the application just hangs and does nothing.
The MKV file is created in output folder, but is never released.. it looks like the application is writing to the file...
The source BD image was stored locally on the HDD.
Here is the information from the debug log:
Debug log started at Fri Mar 9 11:03:41 2018 , written by MakeMKV v1.12.0 darwin(x64-release)
Using 524544KB for read cache.
001005:0000 MakeMKV v1.12.0 darwin(x64-release) started
001004:0000 Debug logging enabled, log will be saved as /Users/xxx/MakeMKV_log.txt
005042:0000 The program can't find any usable optical drives.
003006:0000 Opening files on harddrive at /Users/xxx/Movies/MyBDImg
001003:0020 DEBUG: Code 6633489 at Od1Fji[1n0&mRm:29394689
001003:0020 DEBUG: Code 6633472 at Od1Fji[1n0&mRm:29394712
003305:0000 AACS directory not present, assuming unencrypted disc
003307:0000 File 00000.mpls was added as title #0
005011:0000 Operation successfully completed
005014:0000 Saving 1 titles into directory /Users/xxx/Movies/UNNAMED_DISC

Does anybody have any ideas on this?

Thanks,
Michael

To deal with BD images, you have to either have a key for the image, stored in your MakeMKV data directory, or be able to extract the information from the original disk, using the drive that was used to create the image.

The image, I am using, is not encrypted.
