Error making full decrypted backup

Post by inge4711 »

I would like to make a decrypted backup of EXPENDABLES 3. I use the ASUS "User friendly" drive and MakeMKV 1.12.0 with the
actuals keys_hashed.txt file.
The decrypted backup starts without problems. After 18 files the backup stopped with a "Backup Error" at file 01000.mts.
No more information is shown.
If I try a encrypted backup, no error occurs, so that the disc should be ok.
Any suggestions for solving the problem?
Exist the possibility to skip the file?
Thanks in advance

"Backup" really means "make a copy of the disk", so errors break it.

However, what happens if you do an encrypted backup from the disk, then open that with MakeMKV to make an decrypted backup?

Thanks for your reply. Yes I mean full backup.
When I first make an encrypted ISO, MakeMKV can not decrypt it.

Additionally if I make an encrypted full backup with MakeMKV, there is no possibility to open it in MakeMKV as a disc.
So only the main stream can be decrypted. This runs without errors.

File / "Open files" and choose the discatt.dat file in the backup directory.
Using: ASUS BW-16D1HT 3.00

Sorry, but with this option I can not make a full backup of the disc with all m2ts files.
Or is there a possibility I did not see?
