If for example my UHD is copied untouched to a Hard Drive.
MakeMKV will advise the Volume Key cannot be found.
It works however when using from the disc drive.
Unable to rip UHD from Hard Drive
Re: Unable to rip UHD from Hard Drive
I've ripped from both disc and hard drive without problem.
What UHD(s) are you trying this with?
Are you using MakeMKV 1.10.10?
Have you downloaded the latest hashed keys file?
Are you using MakeMKV's backup function to make your hard drive copy, or...?

Re: Unable to rip UHD from Hard Drive
When I have UHD discs that are not working and I know its not the drive or the computer I do one or two things.
1.I get a replacement disk
2.I try using mkv to make an encrypted backup of the offending disk
I dont really know if this helps or not but I try to help out when I can
