Invalid disc structure

Post by CCaptain00 » Sat Jan 20, 2018 12:39 am

I used MakeMKV to make a decrypted backup of a UHD disc. I am trying to use StaXrip to open the backup. When I click source, I selected "Blu-ray Folder" and then the BDVM folder. StaXrip then pops up "HD DVD / Blu-ray disc structure not found". If I try to open a BDVM folder ripped with AnyDVD it opens as it should and allows me to select a playlist. I cannot rip this particular UHD disc with AnyDVD. The structures ripped with MakeMKV and AnyDVD look the same.

It might be a StaXrip issue rather than an MakeMKV issue.

Can you open other created-by-MakeMKV UHD backups with StaXrip?

What is the disc you are having trouble with?
Using: ASUS BW-16D1HT 3.00

I currently only have 1 UHD disc, Blade Runner 2049. So, I have only tried 1 rip created by MakeMKV. StaXrip does open my Blu-ray rips created by AnyDVD. I will try to create a Blu-ray backup with MakeMKV and see if it opens that.

I did create and MKV with MakeMKV and StaXrip was able to open that :D
