The Tunnel Sabotage - Complete Second Season playlist

#1 Post by Nexus*6 » Wed Jan 03, 2018 3:06 am

I have the US / PBS version of this Bluray set. Does anyone know the correct playlists for D1 D2 D3

There are 3 episodes per disk but over 400 files on each. Thanks!

Did MakeMKV with JRE not find the correct playlists? Please check this first (http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=16791) and report findings.

It would be interesting to see what MakeMKV says when dealing with an episodic TV show, where there are multiple "correct playlists"...

I'm embarrassed to say I assumed JRE/MakeMKV worked with episodic sets (ie, TV shows) like it does with single titles (ie, movies). I use AnyDVD which definitely shows all correct playlists, I'll need to pull out my Downton Abbey set and experiment with MakeMKV/JRE.

I installed Java and tried that. It had no effect. :( Still shows 400 titles with no indication that any are correct.

I cracked this the other week :D

each disk had an episode or 2 that were perfectly fine and 1 that was scrambled

if you still want i can tell you the titles of the proper episodes

If you have the list that would be great!

Grabbed a copy of Poldark, Series 2, Disc 1, which has playlist obfuscation. Turned off AnyDVD, downloaded and installed the latest JRE, fired up MakeMKV and verified it's pointing to Java location, and ran the disk. It would NOT find the three correct playlists instead presenting the typical hundreds of obfuscated playlists. So...

1. Perhaps Mike can chime in with confirmation that this does or does not work with episodic playlist obfuscation.

2. Failing that, it would be helpful if others could check/verify as well, to see if it may just be my system that can't find correct episodic playlists (MakeMKV has been hit and miss with the obfuscated discs I've dealt with, that's one reason why I continue to use AnyDVD).

3. Apologies to the OP, Nexus*6, if this indeed does not work.
