I just bought the Panasonic UJ-120 BD-ROM Blu-Ray drive. When I put a disc into the drive it shows up on the desktop and is able to play on other software. I have the drive plugged directly into the computer via USB and not through a hub. Everything I have read on this forum says to unplug and plug back in. I have tried that and still no luck. Are there any other recommendations?
Thank you.

I met the same problem last week. Search Makemkv alternative on Google, try other applications.
Re: MakeMKV will not recognize optical drive
What does MakeMKV report when you start the application?
MakeMKV asks the operating system, "list the optical drives". If the OS says "none", MakeMKV reports no optical drives found. Then the key is finding out why the OS said that - often, a permissions problem, sometimes another application has taken control of the drive.
If it finds one but still cannot access it, that is a different set of possibilities.
