Compile makemkv without gui

#1 Post by unreg » Sun May 30, 2010 1:46 pm

hi,
how can i compile makemkv without gui?
I dont want to install qt4 just for makemkv, cause i just need makemkvcon for blueray-playback :D

I tried to remove the makemkvgui entries in the makefile, but it doesn't work :/

don't know how to compile makemkv w/o gui, but why do you not use xbmc ?

hi, thx for the link.
xmbc sounds interesting, i will give it a trie if i fail to get it to work with xine :)

I already compiled makemkv successful without gui (i can post the makefile, if someone needs it), but the playback of Avatar on xine is reeeaaalllyy slow.
Is this normal? I have a Intel i7 820QM, which should be fast enough :(
(PowerDVD on Win7 plays Avatar without lags at 15% CPU load)

I would appreciate your instructions for building without GUI. Will let you know how I fare with Avatar once I am up and running.

Appreciate if you could provide the console only Makefile.
