MakeMKV not opening in Sierra 10.12.6

I just downloaded the latest beta from the site but when starting the App in macOS Sierra 10.12.6. I receive the message:

"This application version is too old. Please download the latest version at / or enter a registration key to continue using the current version."

I tried uninstalling the existing files and downloading again, but the problem persists.... Any idea what the cause of the problem might be?
