I'm having trouble ripping blurays using MakeMKV on ubuntu 16.04. I get the below error when attempting to do so. It is an external bluray (details also below). I question if the drive is revoked as I can rip blurays with it on a windows system.
The drive is not mounted. Any suggestions?

Can't read AACS VID from disc - most likely current AACS host certificate is revoked by your drive
Highest AACS version is v62 , MKB saved as /home/mat/.MakeMKV/MKB_v62_THE_INFILTRATOR.tgz
The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted
Failed to open disc
There have been other reports of usb-attached drives not allowing necessary access to do the key exchange, while internal drives work just fine. It does not necessarily mean the drive has been revoked.
Do you have access to a Windows machine to try the drive on, with the Windows version of MakeMKV? That will be a good indicator of whether it's a permission problem or the drive has blocked the MakeMKV keys.
I've managed to get the drive to work with VLC.
The drive works on an older version of Ubuntu(12.04 LTS).
A borrowed USB blu ray drive works on Ubuntu 16.04.
I am having this issue with my internal LG BU40N using windows 10. I have tried a few of my movies, but no luck. I have the most recent keydb.cfg.
Here are the details of one movie I am trying to rip, and my drive info:

Did these errors occur on Linux or Win10? You posted in the Linux section...
Please activate "debug logging" (the instructions for that are in the FAQ link in my signature) and try the rip again.
The most likely cause is an error in reading the directory area of the disk, which is where the key information is stored. But "regular" logging does not always show that.
With all operating systems, there can be times where some other program has direct control over the drive, which can also prevent MakeMKV from reading the directory area.
Sorry about that, I know this was a OS specific forum, but the topic was related enough that I was hesitant to create a new thread.
I will create a new thread in a more appropriate place, thanks. I think my issue is related to the UHD certified vs. UHD friendly drive I am using. I have done quite a bit of reading, and it seems that only the UHD friendly drives work with this public key workaround.
