Hi!
Sounds like a dirty or physically damaged disc.
Have you successfully used MakeMKV with other DVDs?

As a means of determining whether your drive may be problematic, see if you obtain the same results by trying to rip the same "Ratatouille" DVD(s) with a different (current) ripping program, such as the freeware version of DVD95Copy or DVDFab ("DVDFabHD" is the freeware version)...

I suspect a mastering error may be to blame....setarip_old wrote:As a means of determining whether your drive may be problematic, see if you obtain the same results by trying to rip the same "Ratatouille" DVD(s) with a different (current) ripping program, such as the freeware version of DVD95Copy or DVDFab ("DVDFabHD" is the freeware version)...
Is the disc a dual layer recordable burn of a previously ripped image of the same disc?
Do you have any freeware realtime copy protection strippers/emulators running in the background?
