Hello, I'm an entrepreneur with the idea of making an automated ripping machine out of linux based servers in which a user can insert blurays and have the ripped automatically without the need of doing anything (plus of course some other features here and there).
I'm still in the planning phase and I've seen that practically makemkv is the only available program (with a cli interface) for linux, the problem is
that the program's not free nor open source and I could not find any license information online.
I was thinking to sell the server with makemkv pre-installed and set with the beta key, but that wouldn't do since the key must be updated every once in a while and my target customer shouldn't have to put any key or whatever, plus of course I doubt that kind of redistribution would be legal.
So what I'd like to do is to sell the servers with the makemkv pre-installed on them and already set with a proper (paid) key?
Would that be legally ok? Can I redistribute the software this way? Can I but a key, install the program on the linux server with it and sell it?
and this way, the user wouldn't need to worry about a thing and the program would work without indefinitely?
Thank you very much
