Bizarre error message

#1 Post by mitch30 » Sun Apr 09, 2017 3:34 pm

Just downloaded latest version of Make MKV for Mac: 1.10.5. However when I try to open it it informs me that this version is too old and asks me either to download latest or to provide registration code. Please clarify.

I run a MacPro under OSX 10.11.6, El Captain.

Did you have a previous version installed?

There have been reports on other forums (different software) that the latest MacOS would not allow software to install updates, so the previous version remained installed.

Thanks for the reply.

I do not have a previous version installed. However, after several tries, Make MKV did open in the advertised version, 1.10.5. Bizarre behavior, but now running well.

For your information, the version of the Mac OS I run is not the latest version.

Mine also does this:

Code: Select all

MakeMKV v1.10.5 darwin(x86-release) started
Using direct disc access mode
Evaluation period has expired, shareware functionality unavailable.
Failed to open disc
No idea how to fix this. Any suggestions?

USUALLY, re-entering the current beta key will restart the 30 day clock.

Or buying a permanent key.
