For UHD playback, you must have a Kabylake or newer processor, an Nvidia GTX 10xx series or newer card or a GPU that supports IDX extensions, an HDCP 2.2 compliant display device and the newest Power Dvd.

Or, someone can eventually hack the AACS 2.0 and remove this restriction.

GTX 10XX series will not work with PowerDVD 14 (Custom included with Pioneer) or PowerDVD 17 for UHD Bluray. Maybe something has changed, then please provide a source link.

I'm willing to admit my ignorance here ... but for me this is not about playback. I do not have a 4K monitor nor do I have the appropriate graphics card but what I am after is the ability to take my 4K UHD disc, copy it to my NAS and play it back on my 4K TV via alternative means, i.e. my 4K media player.
