MKV and DBOX

Post by BcoAzriel »

I am looking into DBOX for my entertainment room but I am curious about MKV and the dbox.

http://www.d-box.com/entertainment/home-entertainment/

If I understand the gist of this I should be able to use a MKV archive with the DBOX as long as I recorded the correct sound signal but trying to figure this out has been difficult and I cannot find out. Has anyone here have any experience with DBOX and MKV files ?

I see the post has a lot of views without a response. I am checking to see if I asked the questions poorly or if no one has experience with D-Box as it is a pretty expense and niche product.

Perhaps the dearth of replies is because few people know about this device. It seems to be targeted at high-end viewers and corporations; Until I followed the link you posted, I had no idea it existed.

If it is driven by a sound track found on source media, then it would be important to have MakeMKV extract ALL tracks. You can do this by clicking on the little triangle next to the title in the left menu, and making sure all tracks within the title are selected.
