I cannot seem to successfully rip a BR with 2 or more movies on it and get a file for each movie. It only pulls 1 file.
Couldn't find assistance in previous forums. Please help...
Thanks,
Patrick
2 movies on 1 bluray disc - how to rip & get both files?
Re: 2 movies on 1 bluray disc - how to rip & get both files?
Without seeing your debug log, the "best guess" I can come up with is that you have the minimum time set to a level too high for MakeMKV to think you want the second movie, because it normally selects ALL titles that meet or exceed your minimum time.
If you want more than that, I'd need to see your debug log (link in my signature tells you how to turn it on and find it).

Re: 2 movies on 1 bluray disc - how to rip & get both files?
OK, you did a backup, which means the entire file structure was copied to your drive... So, now your PLAYER has to understand how to navigate to them. If it limits your view to the "main feature", it is hiding the rest from you.
Try this: Load the disk in the drive. Click on the big button that looks like a disk (it "spins" while the disk is loading).
How many titles are shown? What are their sizes?

Re: 2 movies on 1 bluray disc - how to rip & get both files?
There are 4 titles, all with the same name but different sizes: 12.6, 9.9, 10.9, & 10.2GB. The destination folder is 43.9GB, which is roughly the size of most of the other single movie discs I have already ripped.
After ripping I'm using HandBrake to compress it to a mp4.
I'm super new to all of this and sincerely appreciate your help

Re: 2 movies on 1 bluray disc - how to rip & get both files?
"All the same name" is because the files do not have movie names on them; MakeMKV tries to make up for that by using the disk name, which works for many titles, but not a "4-in-1 movie pack". You can edit the name before ripping, and if you turn on Expert mode (Preferences->General), you can even change the name of the file before it is written to disk.
In the situation you have, you can probably get which title is which movie by comparing the running time MakeMKV lists against what it says on the box.
As for being "super new", all of us started out that way. The way to learn is to play with it. Treat it as an adventure game. You are given tools (disks, software). You have a goal (make file that can be played in the way you want it). The number of "lives" you get depends entirely on the time you have to play.
