Jason Bourne

Post by MattNA »

Just got the new Jason Bourne (Bluray) movie and it never gets past the "Opening DVD part"

MakeMKV v1.10.2 win(x64-release) started
Debug logging enabled, log will be saved as C:\Users\Matt/MakeMKV_log_2.txt
Using direct disc access mode
Using Java runtime from C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_111\bin
DEBUG: Code 5 at Z-nsZ0--$i ]=!Z.X>:121263866
Failed to execute external program 'java' from location 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_111\bin'
DEBUG: Code 57838 at Phfm@gV#l/rl6f}$uB:213136723

No, a failure to load your Java Runtime Environment (JRE) from the location your system says it is at. Could be a permissions issue, or it could be a missing file.

My best guess is I must have a defective disc. Java is updated to the latest version.

VLC won't play the Blu-Ray either

core error: open of `dvd:///G:\' failed
logger info: VLC media player - 2.2.4 Weatherwax
logger info: Copyright © 1996-2016 the VideoLAN team
logger info: Warning: if you cannot access the GUI anymore, open a command-line window, go to the directory where you installed VLC and run "vlc -I qt"
logger info: using logger.
logger error: error opening logfile `vlc-log.txt': Permission denied
core error: no suitable interface module
core error: interface "logger, none" initialization failed
core error: open of `dvd:///G:\' failed

I have the Blu-ray player (G) open in a browser but I have no idea which file to look for.

Get another I guess?

Ahhh, The movie was pretty low in the ratings anyway. lol

Blu-ray error:
This Blu-ray Disc needs a library for AACS decoding, and your system does not have it.
Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL 'bluray:///G:/'. Check the log for details.

More VLC info if that helps
I'm doing a search for "AACS decoding" for S&G's

Follow the procedures in the FAQ in my signature to enable debug logging. Without more information from the log, it's hard to guess what is going on.

If we are dealing with a new version of AACS or BD+, the log will have more information, and MakeMKV would have created dump files in its data directory for Mike to look at.

I have already started a return/exchange with this Blu-ray. Let me know if I did the right thing, if you don't mind.

Thanks again.

Received another copy, still no luck.

Followed the instructions here, restarted, no luck.

Also tried uninstalling Java via Javara and reinstalling Java. Confirmed java than restarted.

That didn't work either

One guess I have is MakeMKV doesn't know the path/address to the Jave bin?

How can this be checked and edited if possible?

Nevermind, found it! Just had to look for it.

I'm still stumped if anybody else can help, that would be great.

Executed a command line:

C:/Program Files (x86)/Java/jre1.8.0_111/bin%CommonProgramFiles%\Microsoft Shared\Windows Live;%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;%SYSTEMROOT%\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\;C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\OpenCL SDK\2.0\bin\x86;C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\OpenCL SDK\2.0\bin\x64;C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\OpenCL SDK\2.0\bin\x86;C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\OpenCL SDK\2.0\bin\x64;C:/Program Files (x86)/Java/jre1.8.0_111/bin

Still N/G

Supposedly this command line will redirect the path to where The java bin file is.

Does anybody know if I'm experiencing a java runtime error?

I will just assume this is a "streetlock" issue.

I do not get an error listed in yorgo thread but my error code does involve Java and AACS.
The one thing that doesn't make sense is the BR will play in my BR player but without the DTSX soundtrack.
DTSX is listed as the soundtrack but my AVR confirms what my ears are hearing. A regular DTS soundtrack.

A competitor's ripping trial software will make an MKV 2.0 preview.
