The stored registration key is invalid

Hi. I purchased the full version of MakeMKV and it was running great until my computer crashed and I had to reinstall. Now I get "The stored registration key is invalid." I've never shared my key and only have it in my email.
I've put the beta key in for now, but any assistance would be great.

Did you try re-entering your purchased key?

It is possible your registry was damaged, which made the key "bad". Re-entering it should fix it.

I did a total scratch reload of the OS, so I had to install MakeMKV. There was nothing there before. I did try re-entering my key several times.

I'd suggest an email to Mike at support@makemkv.com, and ask about it. He doesn't visit the forum as often as some of us would like, but he's rarely been more than a day or two responding via email. Plus, he hasn't wanted to deal with people's personal information via the website.

Anyone heard or seen from Mike? I still haven't seen an email from him. I did get the newer beta key.

I've also had some registration issues, having lost mine somewhere along the line. Have not heard from Mike yet, either, though I've emailed him twice over the last couple of weeks.

I did send him a p.m. I don't know if you normally responds to those. I know he's been on since he did have to update the beta key.

I was hesitant to purchase the key at first, but I have used the program quite a bit and I'm hoping the lack of support is not normal.

I haven't tried it yet, but he sent me a new key. In fact he emailed me to let me know and the key arrived three minutes earlier. It sounds like when my computer crashed it corrupted the key. Maybe that reported something back to the server that checks the keys or something.
