3d MKV with Serviio and Samsung UE65H6470

Post by lucajordi »

Hello togehther,

im new to MakeMKV, so sorry for my questions... :-)

I try to backup my 3D BluRays to MKV and save the Files on my NAS to play it through Serviio to my Samsung TV.
Problem is, that the TV shows the MKV File only in 2D.
Did i forget something or is there anything else to do?
I extract the 3D Video file and only the German language. The File is showing right in 2D, but no 3D...

Thanks for your help...

The issue is in the player built into the TV doesn't know how to do 3D by itself. You need something that understands 3D MVC.

Some Bluray players will do the job, and some stand-alone players can do it. They simply feed the two signals to the TV.

Thanks for your answer!

So there is no chance to let the TV know that is it 3D?
Something with additional tools or anything else? Only with a special BluRayPlayer or stand alone Player?

There is nothing MakeMKV can do to make it work. There might be other tools out there that could; I have no information on those.
