Hi!

1) Have you tried cleaning your original BluRay disc?

2) Does your original BluRay disc play properly?

They were not, the disc is played instead of making MKV of them.

Attached is zip with .CLPI and .MPLS files from the disc.

Again, does your original BluRay disc play properly?

What Region is your original BluRay disc?

Have you succeeded in backing up (full backup or .MKV) ANY original BluRay discs with this same system?

I will check in a few.

USA.

Yes, many. A few have had this same issue including Avatar.

Your logs indicate random corruptions in M2TS file. I would suggest that you have a general problem with your hardware, probably defective memory or over-clocking.

@nathaniel7

Based on the insight offered by "mike admin", I'd suggest that you also check to see if your system is overheating...

Hmmm...thank you for the suggestion.

My optical drives are on a PCIe SATA card with Sil3132 chipset. I did realize a new driver was available but it made no difference to the fatal error. The system is not overclocked or overheating, and the drive is relatively new. I will run some tests on the memory. The disc does indeed play fine. I have successfully converted many of my Blu-Rays with the same hardware configuration and various versions of MakeMKV. It works great with the exception of a couple discs offering only a fatal error

It turned out it was my Blu-Ray drive. 3 months old and it failed. Put in a different drive and all is well. Thanks Mike!
