Two disks, same error, but not in the same relative location...

What type drive is this? It looks like the drive ID information isn't in the logs anymore....

I wasn't trying to scatter. These discs are the only discs out of 50 i just did.

Maybe i should of said that.

I have done 300 discs and these movies within the 50 I did today, THESE MOVIES have these errors.

Given the type of drive it is, it is quite possible it is having trouble switching layers on dual-layer disks.

Load one of the disks that worked, and, without opening it, check the Info box, where it should have something like this:

Code: Select all

Drive Information
OS device name: D:
Current profile: DVD-ROM
Manufacturer: HL-DT-ST
Product: BDDVDRW UH08LS10
Revision: 2.00
Serial number: H9M9B395441
Firmware date: 2009-10-26 12:34:56
Highest AACS version: 62

Disc Information
Label: BEN_HUR_50TH_ANNIVERSARY_DISC2
Timestamp: 2011-07-26 16:48:18
Data capacity: 4.28 Gb
Disc type: DVD-ROM
Disc size: 120mm
Maximum read rate: 10.08 Mbps [1x]
Number of layers: 1 (PTP)
Look at the "Data capacity" and "Number of layers"; a dual-layer disk will look like this:

Code: Select all

Disc Information
Label: BEN_HUR_50TH_ANNIVERSARY_DISC1
Timestamp: 2011-07-22 08:30:53
Data capacity: 7.32 Gb
Disc type: DVD-ROM
Disc size: 120mm
Maximum read rate: 10.08 Mbps [1x]
Number of layers: 2 (OTP)
If disks that work have 1 layer, and disks that don't work have 2, it is more likely that the problem is in the drive. Carefully cleaning the drive lens may help. They make kits for doing this. A damp cotton swab (no chemicals!) will do in a pinch.

Thank you for your answer.

Followed your directions.

It is 2 layers and it worked.

I have cleaned the drive as well.

Any other advice?
