Update 1.10.2 3D MVC Left Right Eye Correction

Post by dmillionz »

In the Release Notes I see a correction on determining which eye is set for 3D, I'm assuming so we no longer have to go into the projector settings and do a 3D Sync Invert. Is it advisable to Re-rip all 3D MVCs to eliminate this issue? Or is there something we can do to the already ripped MKVs to correct the issue? I sure it's the latter as I just completed ripping almost 800 Blu-rays of which about 100 are 3D and would hate to have to re-rip them all to resolve the 3D Sync issue.

On a bad side, for already produced MKV files this information is irrevocably lost. On a good side, this is just a flag in MKV header that can be changed manually with MKV header editor. There is no need to re-rip, just change the header for the affected file when you run into the issue. Takes seconds. Apologies for this bug lurking for so long...
