Battlestar Galactica: Which "title" is which episode?

Post by kar82 »

Hello,

I would like buying and ripping the Battlestar Galactica BluRays (the german version) with MakeMKV, but it's possible to find out which title is which episode? What's the best and fastest practice to finde it out? What's your experience?

Thank you.

If you are talking the newer version of BG, the episodes are sequential on the disk. They will all be about the same size in time. Anything smaller than about 40 minutes will be an "extra".

Trial and error. Even if I have ripped 9 previous seasons and they have all turned out to be in sequential order I will always match up the starts of each episode by playing the disc and comparing.

Ok, thank you both.

I mean the newer version of BG on BluRay, but also other series on BluRay.

For the most part thankfully TV shows tend to be in order on the disc.

When they aren't, you can use on-screen title (if the show does this), runtime, production # (end of credits) or if you don't have any of those - which happened to me once or twice - you can look at the writer / director in the opening credits.

I always liked epguides.com for simple lists of episodes, they're a good place to start for production #s. You can then go to Wikipedia or IMDb for additional information.
