Can't run MakeMKV in DVD mode

I've previously installed the 1.9.10 beta. Now, when I try to run it again, I'm informed I'm running an outdated version. I've upgraded to the official version but am still told I'm running an old version.

I have to enter a license key, in order to get past the dialogue and start the software. Don't want to do that though, since I'm only running the app in DVD mode.

You installed version 1.10 (released today) and it still doesn't run?

No, it didn't run until I installed the prolonged license key mentioned above .
