Post by Phron »

Hi, I have the ultimate collector's edition of Van Helsing in DVD and I try to covert to mkv the DVD #3 (The movie of Dracula) the title 1 (the movie) and the title 2 (suposed to be an intro).

How can convert those title in one file mkv, I want it begin by the title 2 and after the title 1.

If they are separate titles on the disk, MakeMKV will create separate files when it rips them. You would need to combine them using external tools.

mkvmerge, which can be found as part of mkvtoolnix (easy to find with a search engine) can do it.

To answer to your question, it is in the same DVD.

I tried to merge it but ...

in the title 1 you got a the video, the audios (english in stereo, english in Dolby Digital Surround 5.1, an the commentary of David J. Skal) and the subtitles (english, french and spanish)

and in the title 2 you got a the video only, no sound and no subtle.

so what I can do to merge it?

No sound or subtitle tracks? That doesn't seem like it would be an "intro". It would be more consistent with a "character design" or "set design" extra, with a slideshow of drawings or photographs.

To merge the two would be difficult without more advanced tools.

I managed to put in the title and to convert it into an IFO file and IFO file is read well with my player. But, when I convert to mkv, I pert my information because I think the title is 2 slideshows indeed ...
