Failed to open disk (code 233)

Hi,

I am having an issue with a disk giving me the below error. Do you have any idea what is wrong?

"Most often" (meaning more than 49.99999% of the time) with errors like this, the problem is in the area of the hub of the disk. This is where the directory is on DVDs and BDs, so any errors in reading here will give you a "failed to open disk".

A wipe-down with a SOFT, damp cotton or microfiber cloth in this area can remove things you might not see, but the laser does.

Thank you very much for your reply. Sadly this movie is an IMG file that i need to convert for plex. The movie works just fine with VLC and if i unpack the DVD with winrar, even plex can play the vob files (renamed to mkv).

Ah, you're kind of at the mercy of whatever created the ISO file then.

Did you mount the ISO as a drive, or ask MakeMKV to open it as a file? I think there MAY be a slight difference in what MakeMKV expects to see in the data structures if it knows it is reading an ISO.

I did try mounting it on a debian and then used makemkvcon with the same result as the IMG file.
