Anomalisa

Post by thirstyspider »

Trying to rip Anomolisa blu-ray and I get an error, apparently due to AACS v61

Running Mac OS 10.11.5 and licensed copy of MakeMKV 1.9.10

Do I need to wait on an update to MakeMKV? This is the first disc I have had trouble with and I've had the program for awhile. Thanks for any help/guidance. I'm reading what I can.

What, specifically, were the errors? Can you process ANY Blurays, or are you now limited to DVD by the drive?

A new version of AACS does not necessarily mean that MakeMKV has to be updated, it is ONLY necessary if the key MakeMKV uses is included in the lock-out list. Sometimes it survives for 2 or 3 revisions. :)

There should be a file in your MakeMKV data directory with a name that starts with "MKV_v61"; if the problem is AACS, there should have been a message in the log screen to send that file to svq@makemkv.com for analysis. Please forward it so that Mike can upgrade the AACS level in MakeMKV, if needed.

I'll get back in tomorrow night and enable logging and get those files emailed. The drive otherwise works fine. I have a similar drive at work and received the same errors from the same disc.

Thanks for your help.

OK, if you still can read BDs, AACS v61 isn't the issue, but I'm sure Mike would appreciate having a copy of the file in any case.
