Neverending Story = Neverending Errors

#1 Post by stealthdave » Fri Jun 10, 2016 3:51 am

Sorry, I couldn't help the pun. :) I finally found a Blu-Ray disc that Makemkv couldn't handle: The Neverending Story. Here's the log dump:

Sometimes I can get to the checkbox menu to choose a stream, but it always fails. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Code: Select all

Error 'Scsi error - NOT READY:LOGICAL UNIT IS IN PROCESS OF BECOMING READY' occurred while reading '/BDMV/CLIPINF/00033.clpi' at offset '0'
Your drive is having issues with the disk, so MakeMKV isn't even getting a chance to look at it properly.

Check the disk for fingerprints, scratches and cracks. The error messages can also mean a hardware failure, but I've not seen that particular error before.

Sorry for the delayed response, but yes, that was the issue! I couldn't see anything specifically, but after I wiped the disc and retried it a few times (maybe some dust got into drive itself?) it worked as expected!

Thanks!
