Tried to purchase a license

Post by urpney »

Hi, I tried to purchase a license but paypal was not listed as one of the payment options. Is this a glitch or are you no longer taking paypal payments?

I've been looking too... Not sure why it shows an option to purchase via PayPal. When you actually try to buy and there is no option to purchase via PayPal... Can anyone suggest next steps?

I do all my online purchases via PayPal.

As soon as PayPal is accepted in USD, I will purchase.

I do not want to use Avangate and I don't want the forced currency conversion.

PayPal has really become a standard of online transactions and I have no doubt that purchases would increase if PayPal were accepted.

I can make no statements for Mike - he controls how he gets payments. But PayPal USED to work, 'cuz that's how I paid for mine.

If there is a reason it isn't being accepted now, he hasn't said anything here.

They don't allow anything that can be even perceived to be used for breaking copyright. For example, JDobbs (author of BD-RB) isn't allowed to take donations even though his product doesn't remove any encryption or protection at all. And there's absolutely nothing he can do about it. They closed his paypal account and left him no recourse. I suspect the same is true for MakeMKV given that it DOES remove protection. So you can complain to paypal, not Mike.
