I am trying in run Setup_MakeMKV_v1.9.10.exe on a Windows 10 system.
There are 111 GB free on the C: drive and
task manager reports 2.2 GB out of 3.9 GB RAM in use.
Yet when I run the Setup, I get the message:
"Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service."
I rebooted and tried again. Same result.
Any clue what resource is insufficient? What else might be creating the problem?

Have you checked the Windows Event Viewer to see if it has any information on the problem?

Re: Windows 10 install - Insufficient system resources
Thanks. I had not thought of checking the logs. There I found:
AntiVir has detected 'HEUR/APC (Cloud)' in the file C:\Users\Richard\Downloads\Setup_MakeMKV_v1.9.10.exe
I am running Avira antivirus.
When I scan Setup_MakeMKV_v1.9.10.exe with Avira, it detects nothing, but when I try to run the setup I get the above message.
The FAQ you referred me to suggests turning on "Log debug messages" but I do not know how to do this for the setup file.
Before I contacted the bulletin, I tried running Setup in Admin mode. I hope I did not let anything loose in my system. I will run a virus scan tonight.
Suggestions on how to proceed?
Thank you again for your first suggestion.

Avira is giving a false-positive, and it's keeping Windows from installing the program.
