Make MKV told me I'm outdated and to update

I have tried to update MakeMKV on 2 machines and get the same error on both machines. Have been using it for months until today. Has it been locked down, or is the version checker not correct?

I am having the same problem. The new version won't install until I uninstall the old version... which I did (multiple times). Hopefully this will be fixed shortly.

Strange how there are over a half-dozen separate threads on this exact problem on the first page of the General MakeMKV discussion forum, complete with answers on how to fix it, and no one in THIS thread noticed any of them...

I already saw that page. I don't see where it addresses the problem we are discussing.

Update
I uninstalled completely (I think) and same error message.
1-Moved app to trash
2-Removed all MakeMKV related files: Search all related files w/EasyFind - went to each file in Finder - Deleted them all - Forced to empty trash using Onyx
3- Restarted Mac
4- Installed fresh MakeMKV
5- Applied provided key, here
6- Works (it opens but haven't tested it farther than that)

7- Same error message shows up at quitting the app (MakeMKV)

I am getting the same (version outdated) error. Replacing my bought key with the key provided above doesn't solve the problem..... Any ideas?

For me the above code worked fine.
I had just reinstalled MakeMKV and it was waiting for the key. I'm running windows 7.

Hi, I'm new to this forum and have been using MakeMKV for a long time. It's the best i have ever found but after installing latest version as required, I'm still getting the same message that this version is obsolete. I see some people say they found a solution but I tried copying and pasting the Key into the register field but it's invalid. Please someone help. I'm running Windows 10 Pro and it's up to date as well.
My bad. I copied the period at the end of the registration key which gave me an invalid key. I retried without the period at the end and All is well now.

Set your system date to 3/25/2016. Start MakeMKV. Reset your system date to today.

So am I right that this bug also affects the payed licenses? I bought a license to go for the long term solution, I don't want to run into the same issue again when the key mentioned above expires again.

If you have a permanent license key installed, it should not say "out of date" because of the license.

It WILL remind you if there is a newer version of MakeMKV available, but it won't stop running because of it.
