I use the FREE version of MakeMKV for Windows.
I have succesfully made the backup of a BD disk. But how can I use the backup to create an MKV file? If it is ment to open a file, what file am I supposed to open? If not, what is the "Open file" selection for?
Is there a way to create (burn) the original BD from the backup?
Thank you for answer. Tony.
Backup yes, but what then?
Re: Backup yes, but what then?
If your goal is to make MKV files, do NOT select "Backup". Click on the very large button that looks like a disk spinning, OR click on "Open".
You can then select the titles on the disk to turn into MKV files.
If your goal is to make BDs that are playable in a BD player, you will require Bluray authoring software. Writing just the backup, as saved on the drive, doesn't create a "BD Video Disk", just a copy of the directory structure.
