Hi, all. I am new here.
Thanks for having this forum, and thanks to whoever it is who made MakeMKV!
I ripped a DVD (or made an MKV file with the programme; I am yet to learn the lingo here!) and all seemed well. There were some titles/tracks/files which were empty, so I deleted those, and other tracks which preferred Danish, including subtitles. 2 bonus features, which I think is all the DVD contained, and a Danish bit which I assume is their version of an anti-piracy warning. I don't think I'm Danish so I can't understand it.
How can I re-do MakeMKV to rip not Danish but English (or at least American) subtitles properly? I tried using my media player's options to select other subtitles but only Danish existed.
Thanks.
Wrong Subtitles
Re: Wrong Subtitles
Normally, if you have NOT set a language preference, MakeMKV will default to ripping all subtitles found, and you can de-select the ones you don't want before ripping.
In any case, you can check what is selected for ripping by clicking on the little triangle next to a title after you open the disk; The left menu lists the titles, and the triangle opens up the list of tracks within the title, and gives you the option to check/uncheck the bits and pieces you don't need.
