From backup file -- Failed to open disk; DBG ASSERT;

"Failed to open disk" while trying to open a decrypted hard drive backup copy of Harry Potter Deathly Hallows Part 1.
Running Mac OS X version 10.9.5 on a 17" MacBook Pro that was new in February, 2011.

Unable to add the log file to this post. Apparently the board attachment quota has been reached.

Mike will have to decode what the debug messages mean. Fastest way to have that happen is to send the files asked for in the FAQ listed in my signature, including the whole log file, to support@makemkv.com .

I am wondering whether the files are somehow corrupted or were not decrypted when they were written to the backup drive. Therefore I will rip the files again from the Blu-ray disc over the weekend.

MakeMKV would not really care if they were encrypted or not, if it did the original backup... But corruption is another issue.

Yes, the original backup had been created by an older version of MakeMKV on May 11, 2011. I am not having any problems with other backups on that hard drive.

The current version 1.9.9 of MakeMKV was able to create a new backup from the Blu-Ray disc, and also opened that backup without any problems.
