Hello I have just started ripping movies and it is going great. But what I have noticed is that unlike dvd's is that when I rip a bluray it just rips the movie. It doesn't include the menu and chapters. I go and check the biggest file in Makemkv but all I get is the movie. Granted if this is just how it is then no argument it works like a charm and I love it. But if I am missing something, if someone could help me out here that would be great!!

Re: Rip Bluray to include the menu and chapters
To get the menus, you need to do a "Backup", rather than "Open/Save". It's an option only available for BD.
Backup creates a copy of the whole BD structure, optionally already decrypted, which will be "just like" playing the BD itself.
Also, chapters ARE copied to the MKV file when you do Open/Save.

Re: Rip Bluray to include the menu and chapters
Awesome thank you! I use handbrake so that it will play on my mac and what not. When I do the backup with makemkv should I decrypt it or leave it encrypted?
Re: Rip Bluray to include the menu and chapters
Decrypt if your player doesn't have bluray decryption built in. That includes handbrake.
If you're using handbrake, you have no use for menus anyway - they won't work with the converted files. BD menus are specific to how BDs store data, which is why they're ignored when using open/save.
