Well at least a 1:1 transfer should be possible. Then it should be possible to decode such a track with an AV-Receiver which is DD+ capable and FFmpeg can at least decode the DD "Core"

I have created a MKV File with Dolby Digital Plus 7.1 (right from the Bluray) and at least PowerDVD reports the Audio Track as Dolby Digital Plus 7.1
Kodi is reporting Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 and Mediainfo is just reporting bullshit. But there is Sound in Kodi, VLC and PowerDVD without any issues.
Audio
ID : 2
Format : E-AC-3
Format/Info : Audio Coding 3
Format settings, Endianness : Big
Codec ID : A_EAC3
Duration : 2h 12mn
Bit rate mode : Constant
Bit rate : 500 bps
Channel(s) : 6 channels
Channel positions : Front: L C R, Side: L R, LFE
Sampling rate : 48.0 KHz
Compression mode : Lossy
Stream size : 486 KiB (0%)
Default : Yes
Forced : No
Bitrate, Stream size and Number of channels aren't correct. Bitrate is 1280kbit/s (640 for the core), but thats a Mediainfo problem i guess.
I used tsmuxer + MKVToolnix.

I didn't know that DDP can contain streams dependent on other track. AFAIK, right now it is even impossible to put both "code" and DDP extension into a single MKV track.

but at least mkvtoolnix is able to do that..

Another way would be to reencode both streams into a new DD+ 7.1 Track

Yeah, sad but true.

Once again mkvtoolnix has to be used.

Do you know, if the mkvtoolnix track is actually a real 7.1 track? Kodi displays DD+ 5.1. I currently do not have a 7.1 system so that I can actually not test, whether Kodi will transfer a 7.1 stream to the AV receiver.

Edit: Why did you additionally need tsmuxer?

you Need tsmuxer to demux the Audio and Videotrack out of m2ts Container.

mkvtoolnix is not able to do that

I don't quite understand that.

I can add a mpls into mkvtoolnix-gui. I can select all video/audio tracks that I want to extract from the m2ts and mkvtoolnix will do the rest?

TSmuxer sometimes causes trouble, e.g. when demuxing German DD+7.1 of "Inside Out" it extracts an ac3 track which a length of 02:45:57, although the actual length of the movie is only 1:34:49.

Is it really not planned for MakeMKV to support DD+7.1 tracks?

It *is* actually working in MKV files, e.g. in this free trailer:
http://www.demo-world.eu/download-2d-tr ... ssless.jpg

MediaInfo actually does not support DD+7.1 yet neither, see this bug:
https://sourceforge.net/p/mediainfo/bugs/980/

But it would actually really be great if MakeMKV would support it. Because many Disney titles do have German DD+7.1 tracks I currently am not able to convert those correctly to MKV.

Following German Blurays have a German DD+7.1-track:
- inside out
- brave
- minions
- monsters universitry
- finding nemo

Sadly I am not able to convert them.

Although I really wonder why TSmuxer worked for you. I have no problems demuxing normal DD5.1 track with TSmuxer but as soon as I try to demux DD+7.1 track I get a track with the duplicate length...
