I am trying to rip the Pacific Rim Blu-Ray movie and I am getting errors. I have tried clean the disk but get the same errors. Here is a copy of the log below. I am not sure if I have a bad disk or what and hope someone could help:

Re: Pacific RIM
Going to have to suggest cleaning, because Pacific Rim had no errors when I ripped it.

Re: Pacific RIM
Thanks, I tried to rip it with anyDVD HD and had the same type of issue. I have cleaned the Blu-Ray again. I can't see anything wrong with it though when I look at it. Guess, I will just have to rip the DVD instead which sucks.Woodstock wrote:Going to have to suggest cleaning, because Pacific Rim had no errors when I ripped it.
Re: Pacific RIM
These errors could be related to this... this isn't an external drive, is it?Error 'Scsi error - HARDWARE ERROR:TIMEOUT ON LOGICAL UNIT' occurred while reading '/BDMV/STREAM/00011.m2ts' at offset '25670320128'

Re: Pacific RIM
I finally got AnyDvd HD to rip it using slow mode. I wish there was a way to slow down the blu-ray player from MakeMVK. There are a few things that I would like to see added. I'll have to make to another thread with my wish list that will never be met.Woodstock wrote:These errors could be related to this... this isn't an external drive, is it?Error 'Scsi error - HARDWARE ERROR:TIMEOUT ON LOGICAL UNIT' occurred while reading '/BDMV/STREAM/00011.m2ts' at offset '25670320128'

Re: Pacific RIM
There are ways to slow MakeMKV down... point the output at a slow-to-write directory, either on a network or on a local drive. But that's no fun, really....
If it is an external drive, the usual problem is insufficient power to run at full speed. There are ways to address that, but yes, a "speed limit" for MakeMKV could help.
