I have a home built Hackintosh running Yosemite with a LG blu-ray drive (HL-DT-ST BDDVDRW UH12NS30). When I launch MakeMKV 1.9.8, it just sits and says it's "Scanning CD-ROM devices". It doesn't matter whether or not I have a disc in the drive nor what kind of disc (DVD or BR), it never finishes. I can click cancel and say yes, but it doesn't actually cancel. Everything else is grayed out.
Any bright ideas?

Re: Hackintosh 10.10.3 - Stuck Scanning
Fixed. User error.
Somehow the BluRay drive got in a bad state with a disc containing "Insurgent". Not sure exactly what happened, but the OS got really confused as to the state of the drive. A hard reboot fixed the issue.
