Hi,
Well I have a nasty issue to tell you about. I've read couple of things about but I can't solve it. Let me explain :
- I want to extract one of my bluray (this one, I bought in the past : http://www.ebay.com/itm/La-Haine-Steelb ... Sw2XFUl3-p)
- I have an external BluRay reader connected to my PC.
- I opened it on MakeMKV and as I read some things about editing tags I set "Expert Mode" which allows me to edit some tags. Then I select one Audio on available list and as I'm in expert mode, it is possible to edit properties on the right like "Name". By default, French DTS track has name "Surround 5.1". I renamed it "DTS Surround 5.1 French" then created MKV. Here is result in MKVmerge (see attached tag.jpg) file.
- But when I play MKV with my BluRay lector on TV, that track appears as "Surround 5.1 DTS" and not "DTS Surround 5.1 French" I would expect. It's something I already noticed in the past : whatever you set in MKVmerge, it is not displayed on my BluRay TV lector.
What can I do ? I want to edit properly audio/video tags. I don't understand why - even if I set another name than default one in MakeMKV - it is not displayed with that name via my BluRay TV player. I think it is something common but difficult to solve. The problem is both DTS & DTS-HD MA are displayed as "Surround 5.1 French" via my BluRay Player. On VLC Player or MPC, no problem : tracks are named with tags written in MakeMJV or MKVMerge.
